Support Person volunteer role with Sage

Sage will be holding a series of information events nationally throughout 2017 to introduce Sage and the Services we provide, and to explain more about the Support Person volunteer role. 

The next events scheduled are: 

  • 19th June - Cork
  • 6th July - Limerick 
  • 13th July - Sligo 
  • 20th July - Dublin 

A training program has been development for the Support Person role. The first round of training will commence in Dublin on the 10th June. This training is booked. There are still places available in other areas.

The role of a Support Person can include;

  • Raise awareness of Sage and the service we provide in their local communities
  • Facilitating meetings as a support to someone in service settings or in the community
  • Linking people with the services that they need; Befriending, PHN, Social Worker etc.
  • Supporting people with issues that arise from development
