Third Age Choir

Third Age Choir

The members’ choir was set up in partnership with Navan Travellers Education Centre. and expanded to include members from St Joseph’s Hospital. Today the Third Age Choir has 25 members and is led by a volunteer conductor. Rehearsals take place from September to July. The choir has performed in a variety of prestigious occasions and locations, including at Aras an Uachtarain for President Mary McAleese, and at the original launch of Older & Bolder. Significant performances in the past took place at the European Parliament Buildings in 2004 and for the European organisation AGE Platform in Brussels. The choir performed for the President again at the launch of a Failte Isteach centre in Blanchardstown in February 2010, and most recently at Third Age’s first fund-raising lunch.
