Third Age’s Resource Centre was established in 2001, as part of the Equality for Older Women Measure. Today it provides information on rights, entitlements, services, facilities, schemes, grants, educational and training opportunities, health, volunteering opportunities, and contact details of relevant organisations and agencies. Where necessary, staff explain the process of applying for an entitlement or service, help with filling in application forms and follow up applications for schemes and benefits as necessary.
The Resource Centre is a vital service for many members. Grant applications for necessary benefits or equipment can be difficult for the uninitiated. Many members tell us the Resource Centre has helped to make them aware of entitlements and services, and successfully access them.
Supporting the work of Third Age benefits people of all ages throughout Ireland.
