Holidays, Trips & Socials

Biannual holidays are an important aspect of Third Age providing members with an opportunity to get away as a group for a change of scene. Without such staffed trips, some members would never have a holiday, as they may be wheelchair bound, relatively infirm or otherwise unable to manage a holiday without support.

Last year the group had a holiday in Galway and in Wales. Recent trips included a trip to the Wicklow Mountains, to the Botanic Gardens, to Knock Shrine, to the Guinness Store House and to the County Museum in Castlebar. We also organise regular shopping trips to Blanchardstown and Navan.
