Annual Exchanges and Information Sharing

To facilitate the sharing of ideas, knowledge and techniques, Third Age organises regular international exchanges with older adult and volunteer organisations. These have informed the development of our own services and programmes while fostering collaborative relationships between ourselves and the participating organisatons.

Italian Exchange 2011

Third Age & AUSER, an Italian umbrella organisation representating retired people were involved in a volunteering exchange during 2011. Six people from AUSER came to Co Meath in June 2011, while the Summerhill group travelled to Ancona in Italy in Autumn 2011. The exchange had both a training and a cultural dimenstion with its main focus being on friendship, exchange and volunteering.
