Fáilte Isteach x New Foundations Research
We were delighted to be the focus of a research project centred around Technology-Enhanced Language Learning and Integration, in partnership with Trinity College Dublin, funded by the Irish Research Council's New Foundations Programme.
The online launch event took place on Thursday 20th October and presented the findings of this research which involved a survey of Fáilte Isteach learners and tutors, and a six-week series of workshops for tutors exploring the use of accessible digital tools in Fáilte Isteach classes.
At the webinar, we also launched a digital resource pack for Fáilte Isteach tutors which was produced as part of this research project. The resource pack includes practical activities developed by tutors who participated in the workshop series, and a range of useful materials which can be used in both face-to-face and online classes, and to support out-of-class learning. We hope this resource pack will contribute to the work of Fáilte Isteach in the post-pandemic environment.
