Wexford Farewell

Senior Help Line bids farewell to our Wexford volunteers at a thank you celebration in Kilmore on Thursday 10 March 2016.

Pictured are the volunteers of Senior Help Line, Wexford at a celebration of our farewell lunch. Based in the village of Kilmore and founded by local community activist, Michael Reilly, in partnership with Summerhill, Mike was the first co-ordinator the service. Senior Help Line Wexford was officially launched in February 2006 by Minister of Health Mary Harney TD. The Wexford volunteers worked from the local community hall, which had been beautifully restored thanks to generous local involvement. For the past number of years, Bernie Rowe has been the co-ordinator of Senior Help Line, guiding the service with a sure hand. We thank all volunteers past and present for their many years of commitment and dedication they have given.
