Kathleen Lynch Minister of State at the department of Health will walk with us and present a prize to Ashbourne Community School for an intergenerational award sponsored by DCU.

The intergenerational walk is part of the Operation Conversation campaign which began as a pilot project in Co Meath aimed at encouraging isolated older people to meet locally. The project was supported by subsidised coffee mornings offered in local cafes and hotels. Members of the local DCU student community of all ages, local people, friends and invited guests will walk together on October 1st. The initiative is supported by Christine O’Kelly, Age Friendly Project Co-Ordinator DCU.
